Loving with Our Senses
I’m sitting outside in the cool summer breeze of a Kiwi evening thinking of all the love I’ve experienced today from my family. What occurs to me is that I’ve had to be awake to loving with our senses. If I hadn’t paid attention I would have missed the power of love and it’s intoxicating inspiration.
First World Problems
#FirstWorldProblem has become the throw-away line for numbers of people when dealing with a 10 second problem in their day. The phrase is meant to lighten the load on the stuff we ‘deal with’ but it is also demeaning to people in the third world dealing with real issues like lack of water, medicine, clothing and education or being persecuted for their beliefs.
Solid Resolutions like a Log Cabin
You may have made resolutions or just a mental list of the things you want to see differently. Similar to a wife giving her husband the house repair list, you’re hopeful that some of it will be done by the end of the year.
Movie Review: Jack Reacher
The Jack Reacher movie character comes to us from a series of books written by Lee Child. Starting in 1997 with Killing Floor, Child has now released 17 books and some short stories that carry the adventures of Military Policeman and investigator Jack Reacher. The movie starring Tom Cruise was taken from the 2005 release of ‘One Shot’.
